Agri Western Cape has been walking the drought path with Western Cape producers for five years now. We are fully aware of the impact of the drought on the women on our farms who try to remain strong and positive for everyone around them. That is why it is an honour to contribute to the Boks vir ‘n Boervrou (Box for a woman on a farm project).

This project, initiated by the Wellington Women’s Agricultural Association, collected gift boxes from around the country to distribute to women in the drought stricken areas of the Western and Northern Cape provinces. Agri Western Cape contributed an amount of R10 000 to assist with distributing the parcels. We would like to thank and congratulate the Wellington WAA for this amazing project showing their support to women who try to remain optimistic while facing the drought on the farm every single day.
